Make your own DBC (digital business card)

Something a bit more light hearted for Friday, but as you expect from RJT always useful.

So every person I showed my new business card to, wanted one. Which I think is a good achievement at a FinTech summit chock full of tech experts. This really is super easy, read on and you too can have one in 15 minutes.

Step 1 QR Code

First, make your QR Code, I used QR Code Generator.

The 'digital' QR codes look cooler when clicked but the static ones are free.... I always like free so went for the static vCard option and the website (linked to my LinkedIn)

Next, you are going to want to make your QR code look cool. I added my brand colours, some branding and went for the rounded look.

Step 2 Wallpaper

I use Canva for all my design needs, this is a great tool and again they have a free version.

They have a template for 'IOS Homescreen', assume they also have other brands or this should work.

Make your wallpaper and leave space for the icons on your phone lock screen like clock at top and torch at bottom.

Step 3 Phone

Go to settings -> wallpaper and add the wallpaper you made in. Notice the point at the bottom, it is very easy to change your lock screen once made. So I have one with my phone etc. and one pointed to my LinkedIn depending which I need.
